Guiltless Sundays
I'm working on a personal goal these days. I am finding that it is difficult as a stay at home mom to "turn it off." When you work outside of the home and have days off, it is pretty easy to switch gears and not do any work. However, I have been noticing that my work at home is never done, and I am continuously tempted to "work", no matter the time of day or day of the week. I realize that I can't do that. Everyone deserves a weekend, a sabbath, and I have to be intentional about taking mine. So as hard as it will be for me to sit still and not sweep the floors, fold the laundry, or clean the bathrooms, I am proposing to myself that Sundays WILL be, as intended, my day of rest. I will lounge around with my husband and baby, I will take a nap, I will indulge in a little TV watching or mindless reading, maybe even some blogging; and I will do my best to not feel guilty about it either. Afterall, "tomorrow (Monday) is just a day away" {sorry for the cheesy pun}, which means there will be plenty of time for everything else to get done.
